Abstract

Much more accurate recognition of aquatic pollutants was detected with the use of artificial neural network (ANN) programme written using Neural Network Toolbox, version 4.0 within MATLAB 6.1 (Mathworks, Natick, MA). The ANN was trained by multiple feeding the experimental results, e.g. the responses of all three sensing channels to all 12 pollutants (Cr, As, Zn, DDT, endrin, dieldrin, Decane, Undecane, Dodecane, Naphthalene, Fluorene and Benzoperylene) in five concentrations (0.1M, 1M, 10M, 100M, and 1 mM).
